How it works

The container and canvas are marked with corresponding numbers.

Paint the container number (14) to the corresponding number (14) on the canvas.

Apply all the paint with the corresponding numbers on the canvas until complete

Once all the paint is applied, your painting will be complete.

Setting Up

  • Choose a comfortable chair and surroundings, with plenty of space and light.
  • A small container of water and a cloth is required to wash and dry paints between colours.
  • Make sure your paintbrush is dry before dipping it into the paint pots.

Helpful Tips

  • Start with the smallest areas, then work your way up to medium then large.
  • Paint the whole of one colour first, don’t stop and start.
  • Be sure to let the paint dry between colours to avoid any smudging
  • There should be no gaps between colours.
  • Take a picture of your blank canvas, it helps with small areas that can be painted over by mistake.

Stunning

This is my first painting, and seeing the image come together was so fun. I tweaked some things, blended, used some of the wrong colour to fill gaps… but I love the result. There were a couple challenges involved - reserving enough of one colour for the sky and water, and secondly, the amount of paint needed for some of the lighter yellows and whites because they were fairly transparent. I ended up with some texture as I layered so much to hide lines and numbers. In the end, I think it made the painting look much nicer though!

Symphony

Of the 5 pbn I have now completed, this one was my favourite. I really loved doing this one and had it finished in a week. It’s a gift for my daughter and her family along with 5 others they have chosen. I have 1 half finished, 11 waiting and 4 in the post! Addicted just a little

2nd time purchasing here. I was really excited for this one, my cousin plays the violin. I liked the blues greens, the far off horizon with lights of a city, the girl really stands out, just beautiful. My package just arrived and the picture on the front is so dark and muted compaired to the website all black dark green and yellow. I unrolled it and the majority of the sky and water is black there is no city in the picture. Its so dark. Its really unlike the picture on the site.

Thoroughly Enjoyed :)

I had fun with the painting. I would certainly recommend to others. The kit gives you three different sized paint brushes and a bag to store both the brushes and the paint which was nifty. Only a few mild criticisms for those who are looking to purchase: Use colour 1 conservatively. The kit would benefit from a second pot. I had to dilute the paint with water slightly to stretch it out over the entire indicated area. But at the end it didn't really matter since colour 3 is practically indistinguishable which is a shame since colour 3 gave the water some extra texture and helped distinguished the mountains in the horizon from the water which is lost in the final product. Regions of colours 1 and 3 merge together and I think the painting is worse off for it. I recommend you add some stars so there is less black in the final image. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I do think the purchase was worth it. Have fun, guys!
